Home to the largest oil field in Colombia and an abundance of fresh water, the resource-rich Department of Arauca has most of its recent history disfigured by violence. Today, the FARC, ELN and new-generation paramilitary groups fight amongst themselves and the state for influence in this strategically located Department which shares a border with Venezuela. This long term project will document the lives of those who live in Arauca.
